What Percent of My Thoughts Are Positive?

00:00

It may seem a tricky or even daunting thing to calculate, what percent of my thoughts are positive, but for me, it is really quite simple.

The easiest way, is that I ask myself the question, and expect and wait for an answer,

The answer comes as a thought that appears, rather than figured out – I don’t make the thought, but rather it appears. And it happens very quickly, within 5 seconds.

I mentioned this once to someone, and he said that he’d never think of talking to his own mind.

There are other ways to figure this out, for example, many ways of muscle testing, that is, talking to my smart body. The easiest way to talk to your smart body is to stand up, ask a question that has a yes or no answer, and see if you sway forward or backward naturally. Swaying forward for most people means yes, backward means no, and not swaying means neutral. So you can ask, “Are at least 10 percent of my thoughts positive?”

Sometimes I ask about yesterday, last week, or last year, by asking, “Were at least 10% of my thoughts positive last year?” I find these answers illuminating.

Anyhow, why would I care about what percent of my thoughts are positive, anyway? Well, because positive thinking is an indicator of a happier, healthier inner setting - a happier me.

Perhaps you would like to ask yourself what percent of your thoughts are positive, and see what your smart body answers.
