Speaker Joe
Interviewed by Cindy
Cindy interviewer: I’m sitting here with my friend Joe, and we’re having a nice visit. Joe is 88 years young, and I’m up there—but not quite there yet.
I want to ask Joe how he has such a strong, positive outlook on life still.
Joe: You have a strong positive outlook in life. It’s real life. There’s a God. People say that God didn’t write the Bible—but I differ with them.
Speaker - Olga

Cindy interviewer: Hi, this is Cindy with Heartspeak, and I’m up at Cape Cod with my dear friend Olga. And the one thing I’ve noticed about Olga is the amount of joy she exudes — from her personality, from her spirit, from her heart. She makes me laugh like crazy and silly all the time. What’s your secret to being so joyful and happy?
John interviewer: Hi, this is John with Heartspeak. I’m here with Olga and Cheryl.
Cheryl, you told me that in your high school yearbook, your friends wrote something about you. What did they write?
Cheryl: In my senior year—my senior yearbook—it was written, “Quiet until you get to know her.”
What words are on the tip of your tongue?
Core words you typically talk with and think with?
I sometimes pause and consider this. Consciously moving what I say to something softer and brighter.
As best I can, I use the wonder words “please” and “thank you.”
Instead of “Stop shouting,” I say, “Please stop shouting.” It isn’t just a nicety, but rather energetically shifts the tone from a command to a request.
It’s interesting. How can I use words each day like: better, kinder, sincere, conscious, aware?
As I woke up this morning
I stumbled into my kitchen to do my dishes
I was half groggy and half asleep
As I was doing my dishes and looked out the kitchen window
I saw this beautiful blue bird, it was like a violet blue, and it was rust colored
It wasn’t a blue bird
I wasn’t sure what kind of bird it was
It was sitting on top of my patios table closed umbrella just perched
Looking all around just like taking in the scene, the scenery around him
Do you climb the mountain of prosperity?
Do you climb the mountain of health?
Do you climb the mountain of the perfect mate?
Do you climb the mountain of awakening?
Seeking a solution at the top? Day after day?
Here’s what I found helps me.
To sit quietly and feel that I am at the top of the mountain, in tune with the Creator, the guru, the wisdom at the top. Sensing what it feels like to be exactly where I want to be, right now.
I say an affirmation or two, a few times, out loud. Simply, “I am prosperous.” “I am healthy.” “I am awake.”
