Take a walk. Hmmm. Did I do that today? No, I’m doing it now.
You know, I choose to remember to take a walk every day.
Does it happen?
Usually, but sometimes I’ll just let it slide, or not feel like not do it.
And I find that when I do that, that I don’t feel as well. I don’t flow as well.
After all, we are made up of energy. When I walk, I am moving my energy around. I’m revitalizing my body. You know, it’s just a good thing for me to do.
So, I choose to remember that on my list should be me.
Me on the list is taking a walk. It’s part of what I know to do to feel better.
You may know something that you may do to feel better : dance, sing, read.
You may feel that I don’t have the time. I can’t fit it into my schedule.
But, I say you do have the time. There’s always time to fit in what you need to do. To re-energize, to renew, to refuel yourself.
I think of me as a car. I’m fueling me to run better, to feel more effective, to feel more effective.
And everything just flows better when I take my walk.
It doesn’t cost me anything to take my walk. Yes, it costs me time. But, it really doesn’t because I am gaining so much.
The time I am out there spending with myself. Listening to nature. Talking to God. Just breathing in the air. And reflecting, “Oh, wow, I got that walk in today.”
So, it does take a little bit of discipline. And you can just ask for a “nudge” in your spirit to help remind you to do this. But, it’s so worth it.
So, I suggest to you take a walk. Or you take the time to do what fuels you and renews you to make you be more energized, relaxed, calm and peaceful as you go about each day.
(Sound of footsteps walking.)
