And Today Is Just the Beginning

Today I am feeling better than ever.

I build the bridge that completes itself.

I expect good things to happen to me today.

I look forward to being happily surprised.

Why is today so special?

Because it’s right now.

I am like a great tree out in the sun.

I feel young, alive, like an explorer once again.

I feel really, really great.

Let good things find me today:

A butterfly, a surprise lunch place,

A nod from God that all is well.

I am open to flashes of inspiration and enthusiasm.

Let me notice the beauty you hide in this day,

For me to find: perhaps a flower pot on a doorstep,

Or a waft of scented wind, or the tug of earth to my feet.

I remember one of my first birthdays. It is like that today.

My birthday of being ageless.

Open an easy path for me today,

In a direction that is wise and benevolent.

Let me discover today something new and good.

My breathing says, “Yes, yes, yes.”

I appreciate being happy.

And today is just the beginning.
