I talked to you last time about the Circle of Life: primary foods, secondary foods. Primary foods being Relationships, Regular Activity, Fulfilling Career and Economics, and Spiritual Practice. Once you are satisfied and balanced in those areas, you’ll be happier and more fulfilled. You’ll be satisfied with life!
Then you can go on to what you're putting in your mouth, which is secondary Foods.
I want to talk to you a little bit more, or in detail, about the Circle of Life, with the Primary foods. There is a picture: so the four areas are further subdivided into Joy, Social life, Relationships, Home environment, Home cooking, Physical activity, Health, Education, Career, Finances, Creativity, Spirituality. (And did I say Joy?)
Make a circle, you can divide it into those areas, or just the four areas. Then put a dot in the areas that you feel satisfied or dissatisfied with. A dot close to the middle or to the center is a little dissatisfaction. Towards the outside of that shape (the pie shape or the circle) is satisfaction.
So rank them as you want. Then draw a line between the dots, and then look at those areas that maybe you need some help with.
Either I help you, or the group helps you. But once you identify making small increments of improvement, you’ll feel better and more balanced. Relax! Take a walk! Enjoy that dog. Next GEM, we’ll talk about what you put in your mouth: the Secondary foods.
