King of the Hay

Everyone has certain special things that make them smile. For me, one of those things is being around goats.

I remember one of the times my parents and I went to a local farm that we visit frequently. That particular day there were 2 baby goats, so small they could barely walk, their little legs wobbly, and their tiny voices high-pitched. One baby goat was shy, afraid, seeking shelter near his mother. But the other baby goat wanted to experience everything the world had to offer.

Journey to Art

Some say infants are born with wisdom and abilities. It is a thought to ponder.

Let’s take a journey watching a young artist create and grow.

When a baby is old enough to manipulate small objects, he should be given one crayon and a white piece of paper. He will be beyond delighted when he realizes that he has the power to make this crayon work. You’ll see a big, happy, toothless smile! Share in his joy.

Jingle Bell Run

We live on a quiet street. Each house is surrounded by a wooded acre. Our only excitement is watching small wild animals frolic in our yards.

On the first Saturday in December all that changes. The Community Center holds “The Jingle Bell Run.” The first year of the run, about thirty people participated and they were probably the committee members.

This year hundreds participated.

On the morning of the event, everyone registers at the Community Center and gets a number and a necklace of bells.

It's Just Part of Me

Introduction

This song was written by my wife. I supplied the melody for song and just a few of the lyrics. Here’s my wife’s explanation for writing it. “I wrote this song at the end of fall in Rochester New York, a few weeks after November 19, 1976, our wedding day. As the first snowfall left its coating in white, I thought of the path I took as a single woman out on my own, to marriage, to my husband, a poet, artist musician. The end of one road traveled when single was the beginning of new roads ahead as a couple.”

Is anything really sold out?

I was going to a church service that had a singer
Who sang the bible
Who was suppose to be an amazing pastor
I really want to go to it
I found out about in on Facebook of all places
The concert event was totally sold out
I just sensed I need to be there I should be there
I took the drive it was in Waterbury Ct
It was this really cool church that was
In the middle of a neighborhood
There were cars parked all over the place it was jamming
I walked in and was greeted and said I know the concert was sold out

Invisible Helpers

What’s an invisible helper?

Some may call an invisible helper God.

Some may call an invisible helper an angel, a loved one who has passed over.

It really doesn’t matter.

It’s whether you think there is someone there to assist you.

I believe, I didn’t always, but I do believe now that there is a presence always there to help me.

So what I do in my life, is that I call upon that helper.

I think of that helper sitting beside me at work in a chair.

I think of that helper as someone with me in my car when I am driving somewhere.

Intelligence is Living in the Present

Intelligence is the capacity to be in the present moment. The more you live in the past or the future, the less intelligent you are.

You ever notice when you’re talking to someone, and they’re not really paying attention, and you ask them what they’re thinking, they’re probably thinking about something they’re going to do tomorrow, or something they did yesterday. But they’re not in the moment, and they’re not really paying
attention to you.

Inner Warmth

There is something about winter which I really love.

It feels sleepy, resting, in a sense meditating.

It seems to give an upspoken permission to just relax – to have some time for yourself.

All the colors are muted - grays and washed-out browns. And the trees are laid bare, to show a visual essence language written by their shapes, their intricate and poetic lines, all outlined with lacy fine twigs around the edges. At sunset, they glow orange.

The sun is hazy, diffuse behind a gray sky – you may even think it’s the moon.

Inflammation

Hi, it's Marilyn Fuller, nurse and life coach.

I'm going to talk to you about Inflammation, and that leads to chronic illness.

According to Dr Barry Sears, who wrote "The Wellness Zone", inflammation leads to chronic illness.

So, disease comes in 3 stages: first you have wellness, then you have cellular inflammation, and then you get chronic disease.
